On the evening of Nov. 14, 1997, 14-year-old Reena Virk was invited to a party near the Craigflower Bridge in Saanich, a suburb of Victoria, British Columbia. She never returned home, and was later discovered to have been ruthlessly beaten and killed by a group of her peers. Based on late author Rebecca Godfrey's best-selling 2005 book of the same name, Hulu's new true-crime miniseries Under the Bridge dramatizes the before and after of Reena's brutal murder, which sent shockwaves throughout Canada.

The thriving online niche has amassed major traction, with fans eagerly anticipating blogger Caitlin Covington, better known as “Christian Girl Autumn,” posting photos from her annual fall Vermont photo shoot and hashtags like #autumnaesthetic and #fallaestetic collectively gaining over over 7 billion views on TikTok.

Beer is not selling the way it used to. U.S. sales of the beverage declined in four of the past five years. Between 2007 and 2012, beer sales fell by 2.3%, or more than 4.8 million barrels. This overall drop in beer sales is yet another challenge many of the once most popular U.S. brands have to overcome as they continue to lose market share. According to data provided by Beer Marketer’s Insights, American sales of nine major brands, including the once top-selling Budweiser, declined by more than 25% over the past five years.

Airtel Africa plc, a premier telecommunications and mobile money services provider operating in 14 African countries, announced today the initiation of a significant share buy-back programme. This strategic move, aimed at returning up to $100 million to its shareholders, follows the company’s positive nine-month financial results ending 31 December 2023, disclosed on 1 February 2024. The buy-back programme is set to be implemented in two phases over the next 12 months, with the initial tranche starting today and expected to conclude by 31 August 2024.
